⚠️ Essential conditions to guarantee the reliability of the analysis :

Tick Removal

• Remove the tick completely, making sure that the head (mouthparts) is also extracted.
• The use of a tick remover tool is recommended. Position the tool so that its prongs slide underneath the tick’s head, then gently rotate until the tick detaches completely.
• Do not crush or puncture the tick.
• Do not use ether, bleach, disinfectants, or any other chemical products.

Storage

• Place the tick in a sealed zip-lock plastic bag.
• If immediate shipping is not possible, store the bag in a refrigerator for up to 2–3 days.
• Do not freeze the tick.
