IODOLAB continues its study of sampling stability

Iodolab wished to continue the stability study started in 2015, presented at the World Congress of Buiatrics 2016. The interest is to analyze the stability of the sample between sampling and analysis in the laboratory. 10 new blood parameters were studied.

Protocol :

Ten Montbéliard cows in lactation, from two different Rhone farms (EARL d’ARFEUILLE and GAEC TERRAILLON) were punctionned in the jugular in the morning around 9:30 am on July 17th and 24th 2018.

Seventeen heparinized tubes were collected per animal. The samples were immediately taken to a cool box in the dark to  Iodolab. A heparinized tube was centrifuged and technicized the same day (day) at 1pm. Eight heparinized, non-centrifuged tubes were placed in a cold chamber at 4 ° C. Similarly, eight non-centrifuged heparinized tubes were shielded from light at room temperature.

On D1, D2, D3, D6, D7, D8, D9, D10, a tube kept at room temperature and a tube kept cool were centrifuged and the analyzes were performed.
